If you're looking for a mellow, calm and willing partner Maeve is your girl. She's the perfect age to go any direction. She is well started under saddle. She has a nice calm walk, adorable smooth trot and more of a push style canter. Her canter still needs work to get it consistent. Even though Maeve is young, she is one of the most most laid back mares I've ever met. Not to mention she's gorgeous. She has a nice thick mane and tail and light feathering. She will come meet you at the gate, lower her head to be bridled and stand forever in the crossties. Maeve is excellent for the farrier, vet, trailering and getting wormed. She is mid to low in a herd, does not get herd bound or buddy sour. Maeve has excellent ground manners and loves baths. She rides away from the barn with no funny business. She will go through trail obstacles with zero hesitation. Never offered to buck or bite. We have rode her western and trails since we have owned her but we have been told she also rides English and has been started over small jumps. I'm not a fan of saying horses are bomb proof because they are animals but she would suite almost any level of rider with some experience under their belt. I do recommend a kiddo rides her with a trainer just because she is young and still learning, she tends to just stop if she gets confused on a cue. We have rode her mostly outdoors and she does awesome. We have hauled to my friend's indoor arena a few times and she is a little less confident but the more she goes the better she gets. She never has done anything scary, just takes her time with new things. Maeve is sound with zero vices, up to date with vaccinations and just had her teeth floated last month. She is PSSM1 negative. It's been a hard decision to list her and we are in zero hurry to sell. A good home is a must. Lots of photos.
