Luna is a 9 year old, 14 hand, leopard appoloosa, mare. Luna is trained walk, trot and canter. Luna is a very safe horse. She has been ridden in the arena, on trails, bareback, double, and swimming with a rider. Outside she is chill and laidback. In the arena, she does get a bit faster and requires half halts to keep in a rhythmic trot or canter. For this reason, we do not put brand new beginner riders on her in the arena and she is not a horse we use to teach the trot or canter. Having said that though she is a very sweet and gentle girl. She is a horse that bonds mostly to one person. She is not overly affectionate with everyone but she loves her main person.
In addition to being a riding horse, Luna has produced some beautiful foals and she loves to be a mom. Luna has produced one foal with a blanket pattern and two foals with the leopard pattern. Her foals have had wonderful disposition and perfect conformation.
Luna is completely healthy and sound with no medical concerns. Luna gets along with her pasture mates with no aggressive tendencies. She does not have any destructive pasture or stall behaviors. She is perfect for vet and farrier, leads with multiple horses nicely for barn staff, does not get pushy at the gate, is not herd bound, stands perfectly while grooming and walks right on the trailer.
