Are you looking for that perfect mid aged Canadian Gelding to support you on your riding development or help rebuild your confidence? This is one of those rare, impossible to find horses looking for their forever partner. Whiskey is a 2014, purebred black 15.1 hand Canadian Gelding. This kind, calm, extremely level headed horse was started as a family friendly horse for the children and later went on as a backcountry trail horse for several summer seasons with his current owner. Whiskey is surefooted and has confidence on the trails, crosses bridges, water and other obstacles. He has a solid build, great legs, has a nice walk trot and canter, and is smooth to ride. He has no buck and no bolt, stands quietly and also has some go in him.

This horse will make a super partner for a new rider, or a rider seeking to gain confidence and needing a level headed horse to enjoy and try out a variety of things with. He will make a super mountain trail horse and has the strength to get all sorts of jobs done when he is in condition again.

Owner does not have time to ride anymore, and wants to see this horse out there doing things with an enthusiastic new partner. Whiskey is currently working on loosing more weight, and has no sign of founder or insulin resistance.

Whiskey had a 1.5 months training with Joel Lybert in 2017; and spent two weeks with Joel (BarJHorseTraining) in August 2023 getting back in shape. His owner is currently riding him several times a week, to keep working on Whiskey's condition, so he is in good riding shape for his new owner.
