Skye is an 8 year old 16.3h mare shown through 3rd level dressage. I’ve had her since she was a yearling and I have also shown her as a jumper, English pleasure & equitation, some western, and lots of showmanship and in hand trail- all with great success, lots of high points, wins in large classes and some championships. She is a been-there, done-that horse who has been to all sorts of facilities and even a few week long camping trips with me, she is great on the trails. I’ve also used her as a lesson horse for all different levels of riders, including beginner kids. She has lifetime registrations in USEF and USDF. Will stand in the cross ties for hours with the patience of a saint for bathing, clipping, grooming, trailering, farrier. She is current on teeth floating, vaccines, coggins, shoes. I am a dressage trainer and Skye was primarily my up and coming dressage star, we showed Third level when I was 5 months pregnant but after I got back from maternity leave we discovered she had incurred a poll injury at some point during my leave. The vet said upper level dressage is no longer in her future due to not being able to achieve the degree of collection needed anymore. Luckily, I like dabbling in other disciplines for fun so, as mentioned above, Skye has experience and is ready for her next job already. She can do things that require low levels of collection. We have been focusing on jumping lately and she is doing great.
