Sanora is a mare that I owned a few years ago. Her owner contacted me this summer and had gotten a new job and Sanora couldn't go with so I bought her back. She has been primarily used for trails. She would prefer not to have to canter and might crow hop if you make her. She has never tried anything nasty, just prefers not to work super hard. She is middle to lower in the pecking order in my herd. She is currently turned out with 8 other mares. I have had her turned out with geldings as well with no issues. She is good for the farrier, vet and chiropractor. She is due to have her teeth done and which will do done if she is still here in a few weeks. Sanora doesn't have any fancy buttons but is a nice, solid, trustworthy mare. She is happy to walk-trot (takes a little leg) but would rather not canter. She will do it but may crow hop in protest. Since she's been back she did spook once at the dog racing out of the grass but came back to her rider really easily. It was right after I got her back and her previous owner said she hadn't been ridden in quite a while. We haven't had any issues since. She has good ground manners and will stand tied all day. She is a little lazy about picking up her feet but doesn't take them away. It does take her a minute to load in new trailers. Her previous owner said they had some trouble loading her in a friends small 2 horse straight load but I've never had any issues loading her into my slant load trailers.
