7 year old, 11.1 hand mare.
Registered Shetland.
Easy to halter, good with feet, trailers well, ties well, and has 3 nice smooth gaits.
Rides on the lunge line and also independently but it’s been several months since riding independently. I do not have a kid for the job.
Could use a refresher under saddle for that reason. We have not cantered her under saddle.
Last year she did gymkhanas, trail riding and went to a horse camp with a young kid.
She is a brave little mare who hardly ever spooks. She has a good balance of whoa and go. She can get a little spunky occasionally but that is probably because we haven’t been doing much with her and she’s bored. Fairly sensitive but not over reactive. Not for a total beginner unless under supervision and with a trainer. Can do the typical pony testing but corrects well.
I’ve done a bit of ground work with her and she is very smart and easy to train.
Lots of potential and could be a very fun pony for the right kid!
Just had teeth done and hooves trimmed.
Sound and healthy.
Looking for a new home because my kid needs something bigger and he just hasn’t been very interested in riding.
