Griff is a stout-built red roan sabino gelding standing around 15.2-15.3hh. He is a 2018 Draftcross with four white stockings. He has been used by a local fellow here in Kentucky who makes his living working on a feedlot and catching cattle. Griff has been his horse for the last two years and is very good at his job! Pasture roping, doctoring, sorting, and herding… he can do it all! He has drug-ton bulls, been pushed by mad momma cows, loaded trucks, and ridden in the roughest places catching maverick cattle. In addition to ranching and feedlot work, he has been trail-ridden in multiple states. He will cross creeks, ditches, and logs and navigate rough, rocky areas. He has a smooth jog, a VERY nice lope, a good stop, turns a circle both ways and backs easily! Griff is a confident horse on the trails and will lead or go out alone without issues! He has been exposed to all kinds of wildlife, such as deer or turkey or other animals like cows or dogs, and will go anywhere that he is asked to. He has ridden many miles in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky and encountered every obstacle possible on the trail. He will go up or down even the steepest slopes, across deep creeks, over downed trees, and over all types of rough terrain while still being sure-footed. Griff is not cinchy and does not crib or weave. If you’ve been looking for a beautiful Roan Gelding that checks all the boxes… your search is over!!! Call Jacob with any questions!
