16hh 13year old Holsteiner gelding that has been there done that. Located in Mays Landing, NJ.
Shown through 1.0m jumpers, 3’ equitation, 3’ hunters, 3’ hunter derbies, first level dressage (and can definitely go up the levels), hunter paces, fox hunted first flight, IHSA Collegiate shows, and unrecognized&recognized beginner novice-novice eventing. Carl is a jack of all trades and is very forgiving. He loves trail riding and attention. He has three beautiful and comfortable gaits with a canter that is extremely adjustable and an easy lead change.
Carl has taught lessons to some of my middle schoolers and college riders as well. Although he is tolerable of mistakes he is not for a beginner rider. He has his own motor but respectful of whoa. He is best suited as a jumper/equitation/eventing/dressage type. Yes he can play in the hunters and hold his own, but his style is not that of a true hunter. He is not a kick ride nor is he a super hot sensitive mount, he is right in between and likes a rider with a quiet seat.
Carl is a ton of fun whether you want to ride down the road to get ice cream or hit up an A rated show, he’s game for it all!
