Dear interested buyer, Mak is a sweet, smart, brave, athletic and very tolerant horse. He goes out on the trail alone or in a group. He crosses water confidently, loves people and pastures with other horses. He is a big powerful horse who naturally tempers his power to match the energy of his rider. One of his best qualities is how tolerant and eager to please he is. He truly thinks back to the rider, seeking the answer to what is being asked of him. I know some will be skeptical of the 2 temperament rating, but I am describing him honestly. Mak is an absolute joy to ride! He is extremely smooth in all gaits, His price will be increasing commiserate with the training being invested in him. Mak is soft to the hand and leg and sensitive to changes in the seat. He will do a hard stop, roll back and lope off on a loose rein all off the seat and leg. He has excellent separation of his front and hind quarters, will leg yield, open and close gates smoothly. Mak backs well and backs an arc easily off the seat. He will half pass, and haunches in at the walk and is quickly developing these maneuvers at the trot. He will canter depart from a halt and do canter to walk transitions. He will canter a ten meter circle, and is developing the counter canter. He will have flying lead changes soon. I would be happy to discuss details of his current level of education over the phone. Mak will be able to achieve the highest levels of any discipline, but the best thing about him is his temperament and personality. Mak has never run off with a rider or challenged the leg or bit. He will gallop and return to an easy lope or slow trot all on a loose reign. I ride him down a busy road to access trails. Motorcycles, trucks, electric bikes, etc. do not bother him in the least. The trails we ride are very busy and full of groups of teens, families with small children, and people carrying all manner of swimming holes and picnic gear including large umbrellas and inflated flotation toys, none which bother him. Furthermore, Mak stands quietly at the tie rail while I ride my other horses. He loads, unloads and trailers easily, and was easy to handle at both the Buck Brannaman Clinic and Cam Schriver Clinic. Even when other horses were having tantrums next to him, or when we were traveling opposite traffic, he was calm and feeling back to me. We even played a game of tag at the Schriver clinic, and he never got forward or took over. I also pick up, carry and drop my roping dummy off of him while mounted. His genetics, potential, and mind make him worth far more than his asking price. I have never been to the bottom of his tank. After a 6 mile hilly ride, or ten minutes of timed loping, he does not break a sweat, and is only damp under the saddle blanket. Mak is an exceptionally minded horse, that would work for a variety of riders and purposes. I look forward to talking to you further about him. Sincere
