Prada is a great mare to have around. She is super easy for the vet and farrier. She has great ground manners, will stand tied all day and is super easy to catch. She is easy to load and unload as well as quiet to haul. Prada is higher in the pecking order but doesn't go out of her way to be nasty. She is good for baths and will stand for days to be groomed. She stands nicely for tacking and untacking and is easy to bridle. She does sometimes pin her ears and make faces when the girth is being tightened.

Prada sometimes moves away from the mounting block but usually only once or twice. She has 3 great gaits and is more suited to a discipline where she is going forward. She is a fabulous mover and carries herself very well. She is a typical red headed mare and has some opinions that she doesn't often keep to herself but has never been nasty. She will occasionally throw a crow hop in at the canter or try to canter when you are trotting. Prada has never tried to throw anyone off. Her lease kid calls them happy bucks. I do not use Prada for beginner lessons because of her motor not because I don't trust her. If you squeeze or your legs are bouncing she is going to get more forward and that doesn't pair well with floppy kids that are just starting out. Anyone that is confident enough to take her sass and has quiet legs gets along with her quite well.

Prada also has quite a bit of trail experience. We have 280 acres of trails here at home so she is out on the trails quite often. She doesn't mind the dogs racing around and if something startles her she has always spooked in place. She does walk out so wouldn't be a suitable trail match for a lazy plodder. She can get a little forward on occasion but its never been anything her lease kid couldn't handle. She has not acted barn sour. I have trail ridden her solo and she was fine but a little more looky and called back to her buddies a few times. She has not been trail ridden solo in a while because the kids aren't allowed to ride out alone.

The reason I am selling Prada is that I purchased her to be a jump lesson horse. After about a year of owning her we had some soundness issues and she was diagnosed with pedal osteitis. With special shoes and Osteomax she has been sound for about a year. We have trail ridden her and used her for flat work in the arena without any issues. I do not feel that jumping would be in her best interest and for that reason I am looking to find her a new home. I am happy to share any radiographs I have but I don't have any that are current. I really need another jump horse in my program in the spot that she is currently occupying.

She is a super nice mare that is well built. If you search Instagram or FB for #kyhlwoodprada there should be a bunch of videos and more photos. As far as I know Prada has never had any foals but with her breeding could make some really nice babies.
