Royal is an attractive and exceptionally well bred AQHA 5 year old, 15.0 hand Chestnut gelding that rides and acts like a 10 year old with PEPTOBOONSMAL and HIGH BROW CAT on his papers. This is an extremely gentle and good minded gelding. He is well trained and solid to ride out anywhere. In the arena Royal will collect up nice and has a really smooth jog and lope. Has a one-step lope and always takes the correct lead. He has a one hand neck rein, a good stop, backs soft and side passes with ease. This is a very user friendly horse to ride and be around. He is handy when asked but is equally easy to ride and operate for a novice. We have given our 11 year old Granddaughter who is a beginner rider horseback riding lessons on him and he has been a wonderful horse for her to learn how to ride. Royal has been the perfect horse for her to learn how to lope on and she looks forward to riding him every chance she gets! Royal is outstanding to ride out on our rugged mountain trails as well as around our busy neighborhood streets. He goes anywhere we point him without hesitation. Crosses the river, small creeks, downed timber and the trail bridges. He navigates steep rocky terrain very well. He will happily lead, quietly follow, ride respectfully in a large group as well as out alone. The neighborhood street scene is of zero concern to him as are the fast passing vehicles, farm animals, farm equipment and the neighborhood dogs that run up out of nowhere. I cannot say enough good things about this super nice gelding! He always saddles up gentle and is an absolute pleasure to ride and be around. Gets along well turned out with other horses and is fine in a small pen as well. Stands tied quietly for brushing, tacking and bathing. Good to bathe, shoe, load and haul.
