Sophia is a sound, solid, been there done that, safe older gal that is a perfect horse for someone learning to ride or just wants an easy calm experience every time out. She loads in the trailer, rides out alone, stands perfect for the farrier, doesn't attack people for treats. She sidles up to the fence or mounting block for bareback or saddle rides and makes a nice pack horse too. Swims, doesn't mind dogs, donkeys/mules, sheep, goats, backpackers, bikes, gun shots..... She does just fine on plain old grass hay, pasture grazing or mix. You can put her up for months and she'll be the same. I ride her shoeless in the winter and spring, but with light riding she could go year round without shoes. I'm selling her because I'm out of beginner riders and would like to own fewer horses.
