“Thunder and Gunsmoke” aka “Gunner” is an 11yr old, 15.3hh, registered spotted saddle horse gelding. Sired by Gunsmokes Packing Heat. This boy is painted up just right, with a kind and loving personality!
In the barn, Gunner has zero bad habits. He is quiet in his stall, and gentle to work around. He stands on the cross ties to be groomed, bathed, tacked, and is safe with beginners, kids and dogs running around him. Gunner has amazing ground manners and loves to be loved on.
On the trails, Gunner will lead, follow, go alone and in groups. This boy is a trail machine!! He goes anywhere you point, he is very easy going and fun. Gunner will ride all day long on the buckle, and goes when asked. He will stride slow and easy to stay with QHs, and will pick up the pace to ride with gaited horses. He is extremely versatile. Gunner crosses bridges, water, logs, rocks, etc. He is safe with traffic, bikes, dogs, deer, and other trail obstacles. Gunner would make an amazing husband horse or camping partner!! This is the horse that you can pull out of the pasture, hop on and go. He loads and trailers well, and stands tied to the trailer. Gunner is a fun, safe, trail partner. He has been used for over night camping as well!
Gunner rides western, english and bareback. He will do what you ask of him. His gaits are very smooth, and he is the perfect combination of whoa and go. Gunner is easy and laid back, yet responsive and listens very well to voice commands. In the ring, Gunner will walk, gait, started on cantering, and popping over fences. On the trails Gunner will lope around like a QH. This is a kind, honest horse. Gunner was shown in hand, and under saddle in his younger days.
