Chica is a 2006 Registered AQHA Finished reining mare. Grand-daughter of Smart Chic Olena and Smart Little Lena.
Chica has a really nice handle including:
Soft and responsive to leg and seat cues.
Rides with a loose rein and fluid transitions.
Beautiful lead changes, spins, and lead departures
Nice stops, rollbacks, and circles.
Great with trail obstacles and rope.
She has earnings in NRHA and ARHA Novice Amatuer points in Horsemanship, Ranch Riding, Ranchmanship, Trail, and Reining.
Chica has the best ground manners!
Easy to catch.
Loads herself and travels the best.
Stands tied and for mounting.
Stands quietly for grooming, baths, clipping, vet and farrier.
Does well in a pasture or stall. Very quiet in her stall.
Has been pastured in mixed herds and gets along well with other horses. She is lower in the pecking order.
Not “marish”. I notice her coming into heat once in the spring and then never see signs the rest of the season.
Chica is an easy keeper and up to date on all vet and farrier work.
