Kelly is a lovely cross of his Clydesdale sire, who is a modern, leggy, athletic type standing over 18 hands, and his Belgian Warmblood dam, who’s a sporty 16.1 hands (by Obelisque Normand and out of a full sister to the Olympic event horse, Carrick). He was foaled June 11th, 2022 and currently stands a touch over 15.1, and he string tests to between 16.1-16.2, so he’ll be perfect for someone wanting a nice crossbred that’s not enormous! Kelly has a lowkey, sensible, friendly temperament and takes new things in stride. His athletic ability and movement should suit most any discipline, and he’s adaptable in terms of his living arrangements; he currently lives out 24/7, but he has also stayed in with no problems, and he’s well-behaved in a herd. Unfortunately, Kelly suffered some facial nerve damage during a surgery in May (castration & hernia repair), and while we have seen some improvement, it’s likely that some of the damage may be permanent. He requires no special care, but the left side of his lower lip droops and his muzzle has a slightly asymmetrical appearance. Due to the effect on his appearance, Kelly is offered at a significantly reduced price. He’s well halter broke, ties, and has been kept on a regular deworming and trimming schedule.
