Blitz is the trail boss - he loves to climb and excels in the outdoors. He was my husband’s first horse and he took care of him 110%. Not only is Blitz great on the trail - but he is handsome and quite the character. He loves the water and some good scratching on his chest. We have loved and owned him for 3 years after rescuing him from a starvation situation. We do know his history prior to us purchasing him. He lost the tip of his ear as a baby from another mare biting him. He also has a scar on his left shoulder from and old injury. It took us over a year to get his feet back in shape and now they look amazing. He does wear shoes - but can go barefoot in the winter. He trailers, ties, clips, bathes, packs elk, ponies kids and other horses. He is a pretty easy keeper - he does require some minimal maintenance given his age and previous job (he was used for hunting and packing). We just do Equioxx daily for arthritis and OsteoMax. He rides in a full cheek snaffle as we have not had any reason for a shanked bit. He is not spooky - he has seen elk, deer, bears and moose in his adventures. He also highlines and hobbles. Blitz is ready for his next rider and has tons of life left to safely carry his next rider.
