Celona is our foundation broodmare and a very special member of the family. She has outdone herself time and time again, consistently producing excellent quality offspring for us from no less than 5 different stallions. Without fail, the offspring always have strong toplines, beautiful necks, incredibly powerful hind legs that can both carry and push, and everlasting work ethics. Celona is by Kwadraatteus, a son of Renovo, widely considered to be the foundation horse of the gelder type of dutch horse, known for their versatility. Renovo is an important name in the pedigree of world champion dressage horse (named by WBFSH in 2018) Verdades, who represented the US Dressage Team on many occasions and helped to familiarize the world with the wonderful but lesser known KWPN horses; Tuigpaard and Gelderlanders. On her dam line Celona boasts the famous Wouter who is arguably the most consistent producer of FEI dressage horses of any North American based DHH. Many of his offspring are shining at the FEI levels with Brynne Varvel in the tack. Celona's offspring have proven themselves incredibly successful in both dressage and eventing already, several coming up the ranks towards FEI, or being acquired for breeding programs throughout North America. Celona has been rebred to CCS Eomer for a 2024 foal, due in May. This will be a chestnut with both LP and PATN1 so likely to present as a leopard. It will be a full sibling to the stunning and personable Prismatic TE, and should finish over 16h and be suitable for most rings. Celona will be an incredibly sad and unexpected sale that we are only considering as we have unexpectedly acquired several mares with new lines that will be important additions to the Knabstrupper breeding pool. She is easy to breed live cover, fresh or frozen, and even easier to foal out. This mare is available for less than the cost of her inutero foal, to the perfect home only. We would prefer that she helps to grow a Knabstrupper breeding program but would also consider selling her exclusive of the 2024 foal and would be happy to rebreed her on behalf of a buyer.
