Gray 2022 Devil’s Garden mustang filly looking for a new address. She was my 12 yo daughter’s project for the Devil’s Garden Colt Challenge. Winona has been the sweetest, easiest baby I’ve met. She went from being untouched to haltered in 3 days. The project lasted for 6 mo, and in that time, my daughter taught Winona to lead, set up for showmanship, trot on the lead, and navigate a wide range of obstacles for trail class. They won 1st place in the Intermediate age group and 3rd overall, including $450 in prizes, so she’s a money-earner, too! She easily does many obstacles, including: 👑ground tie 👑bridge 👑teeter bridge 👑tarp 👑Pool noodles 👑drag 👑bottle pit 👑flag 👑gate 👑pushing a barrel She loads and trailers like a pro, clips, ties, is good for the farrier, lounges, ponies, and has been shown in several youth showmanship classes this year. She is extremely level-headed, curious, and in your pocket. My daughter introduced her to clicker training and she learned to pick up an object in minutes. She handles new obstacles and situations very sensibly, and very little bothers her. She will make a great trail companion, +R or clicker training project, working equitation, dressage, or competitive trail horse. She’s more whoa than go, but she’s very willing and loves to please. She will probably mature to 14.3-15h. She’s got a great head start as she enters her 2 yo training, and she’s such a pleasure to work with, I see her being a fantastic safe, solid horse as she matures. Winona is my daughter’s filly and she wants to sell her so she can make room for another Devil’s Garden Colt for this year’s challenge.
