Proudly introducing you to Jolene, a beautiful 8 year old bay Andalusian mare who has been prepared to step up into a successful show career. Jolene is solid with all the basic principles:
- Comes to be caught from pasture
- Stands to be tied
- Quiet when being groomed & bathed
- Respectful when saddled/unsaddling, & bridling
- Loads in the trailer
- Roundpens at liberty
- Excels at groundwork
- Picks her rider up from the mounting block
- Stands great for the farrier & is very polite with her hooves. She’s also never needed to be shod
Jolene has an excellent foundation under saddle. As is true to her breed, she’s been allowed to mature properly. She has a very active walk and beautiful floaty trot.
- Solid with all three gaits, backup, & transitions
- Trail rides
- Can be ridden bareback
- Correctly working towards developing collection & self carriage

Has been used at a sale barn to push cattle to the sale ring & has pasture gathered cattle
- Knows how to work a gate correctly
- Handles obstacles with confidence
- Rides in a rope halter & snaffle
- Has been hobble trained
- Very soft in the bridle
Jolene is a very kind hearted, respectful mare who wants to please. If she has a rider with the confidence to conquer the world, there will be no stopping this pair. If she’s feeling anxious, she’s a horse who looks to her rider for reassurance.
With her athleticsm and training foundation, Jolene would really excel in a home whose purpose was to advance and show in dressage, western dressage, or working equitation. She is ready for the right rider to harness her talent and allow her to shine (she is also a fan of work outside the arena). I’ve owned this mare since she was a weanling and this is a very hard sale. Jolene has a current coggins and is utd on vaccines. She is being ridden/worked daily until sold.
