Rio is a grade 19 yr old Missouri Fox Trotter. He stands approximately 16.3hh and requires no maintenance. He is a true gentle giant and prefers the company of people. He has had 2 years off but was originally bought as a husband trail horse. Rio will need a refresher with at least an intermediate rider but can be used for beginner riders once he gets back in shape. He is excellent for the farrier and has been barefoot as long as I’ve owned him. He is the first horse to greet you in the pasture, he is low horse in the pecking order. Rio will stand tied all day, is easy to saddle and rides mostly in a hackamore or smooth snaffle as he is soft mouthed. No bolt, buck, or rear but he can be a little fresh if he sits for a long time ie crow hop, side wind. I unfortunately do not have the time to dedicate and ride and he deserves to find a family that can spend the time with him that he craves. He is truly a gentle giant and is ready to find that landing spot and his final home. Update: I had some extra time a few weeks ago to hop on him and see how he did. I have some short videos from that ride as well as older riding videos.
