Georgie is a 16 year old haflinger cross mare that stands 13.1.
Before she came to us she was a therapy horse for a young girl who was wheelchair bound. Her ground manners are impeccable. If you have a little one that needs to learn to brush, pick feet, saddle, and bridle their own horse, Gerogie is your girl. She loves her kids and has a sweet nicker when you come out to catch her and even talks to the kids when they get on and get off. She is also large enough for adults to ride her.
Georgie has been ridden outside on the ranch extensively moving cows and once your kiddo knows how to use their hands and feet together she will ride off on her own. If you want one though just to baby sit and follow on your hip. She is happy to do that as well. In the arena she happily walks trots lopes, crosses bridges, and will carry a flag.
Nothing bothers this sweet girl, and she puts up with the kids' shenanigans with lots of patience. She ties, loads, and is great with her feet. She currently has front shoes on as she had an abscess this summer, so the shoes are on to protect where the farrier knifed out her hoof wall so it all drained well. She is sound and good to go.
