Bourbon has done a little bit of everything. He enjoys trail riding, water, and is traffic safe. He is broke enough to ride bareback and bridleless and will ride in just about any bit. He is 110% safe but has a bit of a motor and isn’t a dead head. Out on the ranch or really anywhere outside he is quiet and happy to go and see new places. When I got him he had been being ridden by a 7 year old but she wasn’t strong enough to ride him on the patterns. He was good with her everywhere else though and knows when he has a little on his back. I have a 2 year old who loves to ride him and I trust this gentle guy to take care of him both on the ground and in the saddle no matter how long he has been sitting. Bourbon is really a fun horse to go and do anything on. He is always safe and rides off after a break like he never missed a day. I have jumped on him out in the pasture and rounded up other horses that were being butts to catch. He isn’t in your pocket to the extent of being a nuisance but he does meet you at the gate and loves cookies and attention. He’s really an easy and low maintenance guy to have around. He is utd on everything and is good for the vet and farrier. I have started using him to pony colts to get a handle on them before spring. He is easy to work them off of and you can hang off of him and mess with them and the saddles with no problems. Absolutely no buck or goofy to him at all! We ride him down our road that has exotics in high fences and he couldn’t care less. Be sure to watch his full video and go to my website
