Rio is a 5 year old PRE gelding. He was started last year by silver medal dressage training, then out to finish growing. He's ready for a training program & to make someone's dreams come true! He's been an especially joyful colt to raise. He is by Grandioso III, Olympic competitor for Spain, Qualified, and Champion of Spain. His mother is our unicorn, Kiva VIII. Kiva is sired by Klickitat. He was bred by Jackass Mountain Ranch, best US breeder known for producing movement. Klickitat competed to I1, helping 3 riders achieve their silver medals. He was trained Grand Prix and also won movement & conformation classes as a 2 year old under Spanish judge. Rio has 3 quality gaits, that will improve as his training progresses. He's very sweet but not a love bug. He is more task oriented & loves to puzzle solve. He is a true 17.1 hands with bone to match so for someone wanting a large horse. His trainer reports that he was very comfortable under saddle, which his breed is known for. Negotiable until he starts back in training. Approved home only. Video available.
