*15 hands and about 1100 lbs fit muscled mare. *Very friendly and wants to do the right thing. Completely respects humans. No buck or rear. *Easy to catch, trailer load and saddle. *She’s very easy for the farrier. *She’s an easy keeper, been on pasture in the summer and gets grass hay and mineral/vitamin supplement in the winter. No meds or injections needed. She is up to date on vaccinations, teeth, hooves and regularly dewormed. *No noticeable changes in riding or personality when she’s in season. *She sheds out to beautiful copper in the summer. *Jenny can be alone or with other horses. She tends to be more dominant but has been subordinate to a few geldings. Fences should be maintained as she has been known to escape if there is a good opportunity. *Ridden 3-4 days per week average over the last 2 years working on penning and sorting, but doesn’t have the quick moves to be an 'in the money' sorting or penning horse. However, she is great moving calves, cows, bulls and has moved bison without hesitation. *She can rate by the riders seat at jog, long trot, lope, canter. *She’s been ridden with a snaffle bit her entire life under saddle. *She’s ridden best by riders’ seat and legs and gets frustrated with heavy hands. *She is very seasoned and anybody could ride her but an intermediate/advanced rider would be best to keep her in top form. *She was ridden on rodeo drill teams for several years. She’s performed in adult drill teams as well as a youth drill team for more than 5 years at rodeos (Walla Walla and Dayton). She’s not afraid of close contact with other horses or any drill team maneuvers. *She has started on barrels in the past with youth and was fast but she is not patterned. *Jenny has been on many mountain rides in the Cascades and Blue Mountains. She will cross deep rivers, bridges, down trees and almost anything found on trails without hesitation. She’s been on cliff edges and steep inclines and lots of brush and doesn’t show any signs of stress. Jenny has been an outrider at Antelope Island bison round-up for 2 years which involves moving bison out of remote areas and bringing them to the main herd. *I really hate to sell this mare but I need to step up to a more advanced penning and sorting horse and she deserves to be ridden. She will only go to a home where she is well cared for and where she will be ridden consistently.
