Sherlock is Holsteiner cross by Advanced eventing stallion Mighty Magic! Many of his 1/2 siblings are competitive in the sport of Eventing including Miks Master C who came 3rd with Liz Halliday-Sharp in the 5* Kentucky Land Rover and Mama's Magic Way who finished 13th with Will Faudree.
Sherlock will make someone an exceptional horse!
I purchased him with intent to bring him along and we are not the right match. I have trained and brought along several horses in my career and in all honesty I just can’t figure him out.
He has excellent ground manners and loves to cuddle. He is started under saddle but for some reason I cannot get him to go more than a walk. I’m not a type of rider who likes to pick a battle therefore he can be someone else’s project. At this time I am no longer riding him and just doing long lining/lunging to keep him going.
I have videos of riding on request and again he is not being ridden at this time. I don’t want to create issues and I’m not the one for him.
This will be a GREAT project for someone who will push the issues and give him a better start than I can.
X-rays on file as well as a full vet exam with no findings.
