Ridge is a 7 yo 16.2 hand OTTB gelding who retired from the track sound in December 2022. He has a heart of gold, wants to please his person, and is the sweetest boy. His current owner is selling due to life circumstances and at no fault of his own. He has a lot of go and would be best suited for an intermediate/experienced rider who wants to gallop through fields and ride consistently! He has never offered to buck, kick or rear. Current owner doesn’t jump, but Ridge was honest to the jumps in early summer when last jumped.
Ridge is playful with his pasture mates and lower on the totem pole. His only vice is periodic water bucket cribbing in his stall, will provide buyer his crib collar. He is barefoot in the back and has shoes on his fronts. Teeth last floated in July 2023 with no issues noted. UTD on everything. He is currently on Triple Crown Senior twice a day with ample hay around the clock.
Ridge did have a front left leg injury in June 2023, has been through a rehab program, and is completely sound for all activity and riding. Pre purchase vet exam welcome at expense of buyer. Owner also open to include blankets, tack, and supplies in sale for small additional cost. Trial to own lease options available.
