Life circumstances dictate the sale of this lovely mare. Owner says she needs to be off the board bill due to job issues. 14.3hh-15hh. Just about as wide as she is tall! Barefoot, sound, quiet, just a sweetheart to handle. I hopped on this mare with a halter and lead rope and let her walk around the arena (see the video). I haven’t ridden in almost 18 months but trusted her completely. I’m 6’0” tall so you can see how much leg she takes up, for a smaller horse. She has had foals in the past and was purchased to be used as a broodmare. Unfortunately owner’s life situation has prevented that from happening. Great for farrier and vet. Loads like a champ. Priced very reasonably for what she is. Negotiable if she sells by December 1 as owner really needs her off the board bill. Now for the fine print…. “Njora” is blind in her left (near side) eye. She is good to handle but she does need to hear a voice or some warning when you approach her on that side or she can be a bit spooky. She longes well but can be a bit difficult starting to the left because of the blindness. While handling she can be a bit pushy because she can’t see her handler but she’s not mean in the least. For these reasons she is being sold as an INTERMEDIATE level horse. She is NOT A BEGINNER OR A KID’S HORSE. She is L-A-Z-Y and S-L-O-W. She takes a TON of leg to get, and keep, her going. She is also completely out of shape - fair warning! Her diet will need to be monitored closely and she will need to be brought along slowly to fitness if she’s purchased as a riding horse. Located in Berger, MO, approximately 1 1/2 hrs SW of St. Louis. Email me at katstelter.30@gmail.com for more info and pics.
