Loki" is a four-year old purebred Norwegian Fjord gelding (unregistered). You won't find a horse as fond of people. Without fail, he will meet you at the gate and check you out. He is playful and silly and loves to engage. Loki has had a slow, mindful start, spending the first two years of his life participating in ground-based equine therapy and equine learning sessions. After an excellent start under the direction of Lillan Rome (LR Horsemanship) and Shamus Haws Horsemanship, Loki was given a few months of rest and then had 6 months of short-sweet and successful sessions to solidify his understanding of yields on the ground and under saddle. For the last 5 months, he has been in consistent work, developing additional yields, soft & willing transitions, and confidence in different environments. He is young and has already demonstrated the ability to partner with whomever he is working with. He is not spooky, which will make him an excellent confidence builder once his development is complete. He is curious and takes new obstacles in stride - he will be a killer competitor in Equine Trail Sports Competitions. The obstacles in the video were first attempts with the exception of the gate. He clips, bathes, loads, stands for the farrier, stands to be saddled and mounted. We love Loki, and selfishly want to keep him for our therapeutic programs, but given his age and so much potential, we think it best for him to have a home where he can develop his skills to the max, travel, and experience more variety with a single human partner. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EjwUo_zLBys
