Lady is an older mare (21) who is a “been there done that” horse. She was owned by the person I got her from for over 10 years, and they did hundreds of miles of trails together (I personally haven’t had the chance due to my schedule and injury) An injury to the owner(not this mares fault) caused lady to sit for a few years- which in turn forced this beautiful girl to be rehomed to me. Due to sitting for a while and recently being back into work, she can still be a little fresh.

When I got her, she was lame in the hocks, needed dental BAD and lots of body work. I had two vets look at her, and after putting their heads together they chalked it up to being very weak in the back end. I have videos of her lameness when I first saw her in person if interested. We started a rehab protocol on her, 15,000 MG methocarbomal and 1 equiox a day with a lunging regiment for 30 days and she is much better now. If she is out of work or sits for a while, she can get sort of stiff in the back end but will work out of it within 5 minutes of warming up. She has also had body work done, and responded really well to it.

I have had my trainer working with her (contact information available) and my trainer has stated that she is SMART and she knows stuff. She can side pass, moves her shoulder and move her hind end, has been ridden in a bosal before. She is a very pretty mover, and is very much so a “one person horse”. Best suited for an intermediate rider and above- as she can be fresh when sitting. Never has thrown a buck, rear, kick etc when riding.

I recently was thrown from a horse and suffered a hip and rib fracture and just don’t have the time for her that she needs right now.

Teeth/Feet/vaccines are UTD. happy to give the records I have to the new owner. I have her Jockey Club papers and will absolutely not let her to to a less than perfect home.
