I purchased Willow last spring to ride while my main horse recuperated from an injury. I no longer need her so she is for sale again to the right home. She is a great trail horse with an extremely fast walk!!! She has been ridden many miles all over the southern Oregon Coast including beaches, dunes and coastal mountains. She is comfortable around cattle in the pasture on cattle drives, trail riding and some roping in a previous life. Willow can be ridden alone at home or on the trail, she would be perfect for someone wanting one horse to ride as she is more of a loner. On the trail, she goes in front, middle or back but I feel she does best riding in back. She has a large bubble and doesn’t like other horses near her backside. We worked on her arena skills this summer including all three gaits, backing, side passing, trail obstacles after purchasing her last April. We also worked on her ability to stand tied as her lack of confidence in the barn caused her to pull back at times when she first came to us. Confidence building and a blocker ring has solved that issue. She stands tied just fine now. According to previous owner, she did that with her, but stopped after she got used to her. She was underweight when I purchased her but has been easily maintained on Orchard or Timothy hay with Haystack and some supplements. She is good to load, stands quietly for the farrier, good at worming, up to date on her teeth and vaccines. She was reshod on 11/3/23 and has been on a 7 week schedule since her purchase. Papers are in the slow process of being transferred through AQHA as several previous owners did not have her registered in their names. Located on the beautiful Southern Oregon Coast🫶🏻 More pictures and videos available! Great opportunity for a been there done that trail horse!
