Emma wants to please. Great mind, good conformation. Excellent ground manners and trustworthy. She's done lots of basic arena and beginning dressage work, responsive during longing sessions, some experience with vaulting; walking and trotting over ground poles. Safe to ride bareback, english or western, snaffle, hackamore or halter. Beginners and small children have lessoned on her as well as intermediate dressage students. She was patient and safe when being used for pony rides during our boy’s birthday parties. She is steady as a trail horse and has safely participated in parades. She is quiet around traffic, farm equipment and dogs, walks smoothly over bridges, logs and manholes and crosses streets no problem. Group trail rides are fun since she'll happily ride in the front or back. Bonding solo rides with her person are wonderful. She has lived in a mixed herd pasture and gets along well with everybody. I have taken dressage lessons with her and she impressed with her willingness to learn, even when tired: After an hour long dressage lesson, my trainer got on her to teach her to bend to the outside at a canter. She willingly worked with my trainer until she had figured it out. My boys did a few vaulting lessons on her (standing up, sitting sideways/backwards, doing forward rolls during walk) and she did great. Kids love doing the "Emma slide“ - getting off by using her pretty round croup as a slide down. She could be a great therapy horse as well - I have used her to help adults and kids overcome traumas from bad experiences with other horses. Her calm, sweet and nurturing nature helped get them riding again. She also takes great care of my friend who suffers from MS. They enjoy bareback trail rides and snuggling. She is current on her vet visits (vaccines, check-ups, teeth floats) and takes her shots in stride without fuss. She does well barefoot and consistently gets trimmed every 5 weeks. She has beautiful feet with decent heels. She is a vet’s and farrier’s favorite because of her great manners. Likes to bond with her people. Sadly being sold because family obligations must take priority. Emma deserves more time than I can give her. Looking for a quality loving home with her own person. $5,000. obo
