Alister is a 12 year old, 12.2, grade pony who's spent most of his life on ranches. He rodeoed with a kid before but has mostly sat around the last couple of years with the rider taking him out here and there. His last girl has left for college and it's time for him to find a new home where he can be loved. He is easy to handle, ties, loads in a trailer, catches, easy to tack and bridle, stands to be shoed etc. He is currently barefoot and is sound has never foundered. Happy to carry a tarp or have the rope swung above and thrown around him. He ponies easily off of larger horses, lunges both directions and at all gaits, and is good with the hose and bathing. Not selling as a kids horse due to him having sat and needing some time and confidence with a knowledgeable rider, he also is more go than woah and would do best with an advanced rider who wants to do something, NO little kid pony rides he will bolt when scared. I will continue to start him again and he's getting less nervous. Super cute jump and he been lunged over small jumps and could be a great jumper prospect for the right kid and someone who wants to teach him. Would also be perfectly happy as a companion horse as he is currently out in a pastures with other horses and cows but deserved someone who wants to love him and pay attention to him. I cannot say enough good things about this little guy, he's one of the smartest little critters I've worked with and will love to have a job. Selling because we do not have time at the ranch to give him the attention he deserves.
