Boone is a 10 year old Quarter Horse gelding that is searching for a job. He worked on a feed lot prior to us owning him, and he is ready to go in any direction. He has a beautiful trot, and moves out nicely- would even be a pretty English mount. He had currently been in training for a refresher course, and is doing well. He catches on quickly, and responds best to a calm and gentle hand/demeanor. He loads into trailers like a dream, stands well for the farrier but does get a little antsy with his back feet sometimes. He is really nice on a lead, too! He keeps his head level and calm, not high and out of reach. My 10 year old son leads him in a halter and can trot with him and stops nicely on cue. He also "sets up" when coming to a stop. Boone would do well with an intermediate to advanced rider. Really young children tend to make him nervous, so this is why I think an older and more experienced rider would do well with him.
