Ellie Mae is a special 3-year-old, Blue Roan, Brabant/Quarter Horse cross, standing at a rider-friendly 15.1 hands, possessing the poise and confidence of a great one. Ellie Mae’s mind and experience go far beyond her years. With zero spook, she navigates trails with ease. She will go wherever she is pointed. Through water, over logs, up and down rough terrain, nothing stops her. Aside from the trail, Ellie Mae has spent some time in the arena. She lopes circles on the correct lead both ways. She picks up a collected slow lope from a near standstill, stops with the "whoa" voice command or cue from your seat, and is soft in the bridle. Ellie Mae is very responsive to neck reining. Her movements can be controlled from your fingertips, as well as leg cues. Even with all the fancy buttons, Ellie Mae is very tolerant of cues from inexperienced riders. She has packed around men, women, teenagers, and children. Ellie Mae has shown to be very versatile. She has ridden English and started over jumps. She has been used to push and sort cattle. Ellie Mae also drives a cart. Stands patiently to harness and hook to the wagon. She is accustomed to gunfire, suitable for hunting, mounted shooting, or mounted patrol. Ellie Mae can carry a flag or ride bareback without a care in the world. Ellie Mae stands to saddle, mount, and for the farrier. She is great at riding out alone or with others in a group. She is not herd-bound and is easy to catch. Ellie Mae prefers to be turned out. She pastures with both mares and geldings alike, with no issues. She leads, loads, and ties as she should. Ellie Mae has been well exposed and is safe/comfortable around flags, tarps, kids, strollers, dogs, four-wheelers, bicycles, farm equipment, and other livestock. Ellie Mae has her entire life ahead of her. Her solid foundation and experienced mind are ready to go in whichever direction you would like to take her.
