Get your hair in the air! If you’re “Hot Dog,” that’s easy!! 😂 He has enough hair to share with all his friends, and he’d do it too, he’s so genuine, kind and caring! He is a true sale highlight. 💙Here’s his full profile: https://cowgirlcadillacs.com/2024azhorses/hot-dog/ I must confess, I have revised Hot Dog’s description 5 times now, and I still don’t know if I’m getting it right. How can I showcase just how special he is? What makes him stand above the rest? I think it boils down to one thing. He’s trustworthy. Teagan claims he should be her high school prom date, and quite frankly we might have to get that written up in a contract! Even though she’s looking 5-10 years down the road, I think she has it right. Well mannered, polite, unassuming and accountable; I hope she can find a human with the same level of reliability as Hot Dog when the time comes! From day one Teagan was confident riding Hot Dog anywhere. From around the yard to steep mountain trails, Hot Dog has never let her down. He will go everywhere she points him, whether it’s western or English, bridle less or bareback. Jumping? You bet, he will happily carry you over the fences, just remember, hair is going to fly! Heavy traffic, balls, tarps, dogs, cattle, bullwhips, and hundreds of other kid things I don’t even know about, Hot Dog takes it all in stride! As Teagan says, “He settles into new places in a jiffy.” I don’t know if you can surprise him with anything, he truly is an old soul who wants nothing more than to please his people. Don’t worry about time off with Hot Dog. You could pull him out of his pen after months off and it will be like you rode him yesterday. We have had ages 3-70 on him, and we trust him 110% to take excellent care of them. We aren’t sure if all Gypsy Vanner’s are like Hot Dog, as he is our first one, but we all agree if they are, we need more! I haven’t even mentioned that he drives too, in fact we weren’t afraid to let 8 year old Teagan drive him all by herself the first time we hitched him. He looks absolutely adorable all harnessed up and pulling the wagon! Almost every time she works with him, Teagan has to lay him down and hug on him. He is so careful when she asks him to go down, never stepping on her toes! She’s getting brave now, running and jumping across him and even cracking the bullwhip, while she’s standing on him. All the while he is happy to stay right where she put him. I don’t get many chances to ride him, but I was able to take him to a branding. He was a pro to gather on and when it came time to roping and dragging calves to the fire he was perfect. No worries about any of the commotion whatsoever. Truth is, I don’t need to ride him to keep him good, he’s set, but it sure is fun when I do. Worry free is the way Hot Dog prefers to live his life, and that’s what you can expect when it comes time to riding, driving and daily care. Clipping, bathing
