Introducing Miles With The Smiles - an 8yr old, 38” tall, palomino paint, gelding. Miles leadlines, rides independently, and will drive as well. While lead lining, he follows the parent like a dog and is responsive and respectful when being smooched up into a trot and coming back down to a walk or stop. While riding, he has a good handle for a pony and is not one you have to hang in their mouth to keep in control. Miles is easy to maneuver around, has a smooth trot, and comes to a stop easily. He’ll ride in an o-ring snaffle or just a halter and is easy to get along with with each set up. From what I saw of him driving, he is a little green but we do not have a cart to further his training in that area. Miles has been ponied off of bigger horses down trails, doesn’t mind dogs trailing him a single bit, and has gone everywhere and done everything we’ve asked of him to willingly. Miles crosses bridges, logs, water, and all other obstacles with ease. He lets my nearly 3yr old son groom him all over, and my son can handle him on the ground and lead him anywhere without any issues. Miles loads and unloads easily from a trailer and picks up all four feet. He is 100% sound but does have one blemish which is how he got the catch phrase name “Miles With The Smiles.” Miles hung the left side of his upper lip on a fence and now sports a scar from it. It does not affect his eating capabilities or overall health in anyway and he needs no special care for it, diet or otherwise (pictures of scar in post). Miles is also currently body clipped, as seen in the pictures, but you can see him all fuzzy in some of the videos! Miles’ color is fading, and we do believe he will be fully white/grey in a few years as well.
