Gravy began his career under saddle in a cutting program and then seamlessly transitioned to showing and excelling in all ranch versatility classes. His exceptionally smooth trot and cadence at the lope accompanied by his easy handle make him a dream to ride. Gravy is what we call the ‘lazy loper’ type where he maintains a consistent pace until prompted; responding effortlessly to your cues, whether with your reins or simply by your body language if you choose to go bridleless. Beyond the arena, Gravy proves his versatility and good-mindedness by being used for ranch work like gathering and sorting cattle along with helping halter break and start colts under saddle, exploring all of the state trails here in Texas, navigating busy town environments, and being the mount of choice for our 3yr old son. Bridges, bikers, pedestrians, wildlife, new places, group rides, or solo adventures—Gravy handles it all with ease and with no surprises.

Riders of all levels and ages, from toddler beginners to aged professionals, have found harmony with him both in the saddle and out. If he has any time off, you can climb back up into the saddle with confidence that no nonsense will follow.
