We cover all costs to confirm her in foal. Can discuss selling her open but contract must be signed prior to April 1* Our farm page, Pappy Van Fjords LLC, has an album dedicated to her. Please take a look: https://www.facebook.com/share/ZogsZPTTM1BtQkMN/? This has been an extremely difficult decision for us to make but we are looking to part ways with our mare, Summer, ONLY to the perfect home. Writing a lengthy description so that those who are SERIOUSLY interested and in the market can contact me for any other specifics. If you don’t have the time to read, I’m sorry! We will not be entertaining tire kickers or potential flippers because she deserves HER person and this is a hard enough choice for me to make. She’s a solid trail mount, very safe and handles new questions without issue. Never had an off day and is super low maintenance. She’s out on pasture 24/7 and never seems to look overweight. Maintained in every way. Dental done in the fall, recently vaccinated, UTD on worming, trims every 6 weeks. We purchased her last Feb and she was heavy in foal with her first baby. She was very sneaky and foaled out all alone with zero warning (and zero issues) like a true maiden mare. That being said, I didn’t even ride her for the first time until I had owned her for over 3 months. It was like she never had a day off, even with a baby on her side. She’s 100% the type that can sit for weeks or months with you can go out grab her and go on a 2 hour trail ride. Unfortunately having a toddler myself hasn’t allowed me to keep in a regular lesson program like I had hoped so her “buttons” aren’t in tune. Since owning her I have exposed her to a lot of new things and been riding her off property. I don’t ride alone so I can’t speak for her hacking alone but she will lead or follow in groups. She crosses wooden bridges, water, mud and even carried my 3 year old son on a 1.5 hr ride recently with his buddy saddle behind mine. I’ve put my extremely beginner husband on her and she didn’t give him any fuss. So why sell her if she’s so trustworthy and safe? Well, with 9 horses and a herd dynamic… she is 1000% a boss mare and I can’t justify keeping her separate to keep the peace. It’s not fair to her. Some days she keeps to herself and others she will lash out at my other mares without warning. It can be very unpredictable and I just can’t risk anyone getting hurt. I honestly feel like she’d be great at a boarding facility with routine/individual or small turnout groups, a lesson program if she was brought back into shape or someone with only a few horses. I was going to fiddle around with working equitation or lower level dressage/eventing with her. She is a cute mover with smooth gaits. She can be testy at times but she is extremely well m
