Denver- $20,000 - 14 year old, gelding, 16.3 Chestnut Quarter Horse with a white blaze. Do not let his height intimidate. He is a prince for total beginners and fun for experienced riders. Children as young as 5 years old have ridden him. He would be a perfect family horse. If you have multiple children and one serious rider, this is the horse for you! Denver’s sire is Uwishuwerehotlikeme! Denver has been used as a lesson and lease horse for the past 4 years. He is an extremely well trained horse. He is obedient and responsive. All gates are rhythmic, stable and balanced. Although most programs can not afford a horse of this caliber as a lesson horse, he is literally perfect for a lesson horse due to the wide range of riders who can use him ranging from beginner to advanced and child to adult. He is safe enough for beginners but self propelled and fun for experienced riders. He is a go to horse for teaching trot, canter and jumping. He jumps 2'6" courses with us. Denver is the perfect horse for a child wanting one horse that can take them from beginner rider to 2'6" jumping competition or the quarter horse circuit. There are not many horses out there that can do that but Denver definitely can. Denver has an extensive show record at local hunter jumper shows but also on the sanctioned Quarter horse circuit. He has a history of showing on the quarter horse circuit. I am not of that world so I am passing information that I was told without much actual knowledge as to meaning: Denver was a finalist in the two year old Hunter under Saddle Division at the American Quarter Horse Congress. He has 25-30 points. I included some pictures from that time so you can see what he was doing. For full medical disclosure, Denver has complete fusion of distal intertarsal joints (bilateral) and osteoarthritis of proximal intertarsal and tarsometatarsal joints (bilateral). Because these are fused they are not painful but the condition would prevent him from being a fast cutting horse or competitive jumper with tight turns. He is perfectly comfortable and capable of doing Hunter and optimal time jump courses, flat work, trails and western pleasure. He is worth his weight in gold in safety, training and obedience. Price is slightly negotiable to the perfect home but this condition does not prevent him from being an incredible asset and from having a great life. He is truly one of the easiest most well rounded horses I have ever owned out of 60 plus horses for past programs. He gets along with pasture mates with no aggressive tendencies. He does not have any destructive pasture or stall behaviors. Denver is perfect for vet and farrier, leads with multiple horses nicely for barn staff, does not get pushy at the gate, is not herd bound and does not present with any sensitivity, ear pinning or poor attitude while grooming. He is very playful and inquisitive. CONTACT: Urminda Firlan at (616) 901-9507 for more information. Search other horses for sale.
