Price reduced on Bernie! Bernie is a draft cross 4-year-old with excellent health and disposition. 1/2 Fjord, 1/2 Belgian. He is well started in saddle, with smooth gaits and nice trot. He is sure footed and a pleasure to ride. He has been ridden regularly over the winter and spring and is progressing nicely. Bernie is gaining confidence on the road and trail. Bernie is an easy keeper, healthy, good with his feet. His Fjord heritage give him hardiness to withstand cold and inclement weather easily and his Belgian mother gives him a strong and well-built bone size and health.
Bernie is a good looker, dun with a dark brown dorsal stripe, and 4 distinctive black socks as well as some black/brown brindling on his legs. He has a striking presence with his black mane punctuated with dun highlights. He is filling out nicely and has the bone and weight to carry both large and small rider. I ride Bernie in both a snaffle bit and bitless bridle. He has been started in ground driving and has the build to be a dual purpose farm workhorse/ riding horse. He is current on vaccinations and worming as of April 2025.
