Not everyone has the $50,000-$100,000+ that it takes these days to buy a competitive Warmblood prospect for the hunter ring. Luckily for those folks, “Slim Shady” (aka “Archie”)is currently available for sale. He's a unicorn TB - talented enough to compete with the big kids at the big shows, quiet enough for a novice or intermediate rider, and affordable.
An 11 year old, 16.1h gelding, “Archie” simply jumps as well or better than any horse at the horse show. He easily covers the lines w an auto lead change. He’s got a great brain, goes in a rubber or happy mouth snaffle, and is so quiet that spurs are must. He is 100% brave, honest and forgiving, and is completely sound w very basic maintenance. He has a lovely canter around the jumps, w fantastic presence in the show ring. The judges love him, as he wins virtually everywhere and every time he shows, in both Adult and professional divisions with an Adult Amateur in the irons (Swan Lake, PG Equestrian, McDonogh, Derby venues etc). He schools regularly at home over 2’9”, and he promises to be a fantastic 3’ Childrens or Adult horse, where he'll continue competing for top ribbons at even the biggest shows.
Dependable and trustworthy, Archie loves to b ridden both in the ring n out, alone or in company. He’s the same quiet, kind, brave and willing horse every time he comes out of the barn. He needs virtually no prep at the shows, has never seen the end of a lunge line, and doesn’t require “riding down” before he shows.
He has tremendous patience and takes a joke with no fuss or sass, making him a great horse for any level of rider to learn and win on. He’s the perfect model to take a novice rider from the 2’ Long Stirrups and the Pre’s to the 3 ft Children’s or Adults and potentially beyond.
