Surge is a 3 year old, 16-16.1hh, TB, gelding. We can’t say enough good things about this boy. He’s extremely gentle, and easy enough for anyone to handle. He’s sweet, kind, and honest. He’s a very easy keeper, and well put together. He’s thick like a quarter horse and extremely sturdy. He could very well grow another inch and fill out even more. He has nice solid feet, and a brain to match all his other good attributes. This boy is a super nice prospect, that could go any direction.
Surge has had an extensive amount of groundwork done, ensuring to lay down a good foundation to start under saddle. He knows how to lunge, pick up his feet, stand to be saddled and bridled, move away from pressure, turn on his haunches, longline, stand to bathe, be respectful for turnout, and he has had lots of desensitization. Due to living at a busy barn he’s used to seeing lots of traffic, skid-loaders, dogs, cats, tarps, crowds, mini bikes, golf carts, smoke bombs, balloons, kids, and the list goes on. It’s rare to find such a young horse with the ‘steady eddy’ type of demeanor he possesses. He’s truly wise beyond his years, and such a nice prospect.
Surge has been backed a handful of times already. He acted like an absolute pro to stand at the mounting block and climb on. He’s a blank slate under saddle, with no past baggage, and ready to make your way. Someone’s getting a nice sport horse on a budget with this boy. His grandfather is the famous “Curlin” who accumulated 10.5 million dollars in his career. He has excellent bloodlines, and is able to be registered. We are selling to non racing homes only, and we want him to go to someone who will continue to take their time with him, and let him grow.
Surge is absolutely stunning, brave, and sweet. He’s very ‘in your pocket’ and will be the first to run up to you in the pasture. He loads onto the trailer like a gem, and has had lots of practice trailering off property. He gets along with all the other horses, and is extremely well behaved in the barn. If we didn’t have a full barn he’d be staying with us longer. Don’t miss out on this superstar of a gelding!
