Jerry – as we call him on the ranch, is the most fun kind of horse to have in your string! He is 7 years old, which is the perfect age, as he has a good foundation and plenty of experience yet still young enough to give someone many years as their equine partner. He has a kind disposition, rides as smooth as they come and willing to do whatever you ask of him. Jerry is laid back and happy to take you on a relaxing trail ride and when you ask him for more he’s willing and capable of doing the turnback duties with you or putting you in the right spot to catch that stray cow. Standing 16 hands tall and weighing 1200 pounds there’s nothing he cant handle! His sire, A STREAK OF FLING has produced offspring that have earned over 10 million dollars in rodeo events! Jerry is eligible for many breeders incentives such as Riata Buckle, Future Fortunes, Ruby Buckle and Breeders Challenge just to name a few. For the past year Jerry has been one of our primary ranch horses. We have used him extensively as a turnback horse in our cutting horse training operation. He has traveled with us to practice works and shows. Jerry is always easy to catch no matter where he is. He loads easy, trailers well and gets along with great with other horses. He’s a dream to work around, stands perfect for the farrier, to be clipped and groomed and he loves to be fed cookies! Jerry just loves people and is always looking for some love and attention whether he is in a stall or a pasture. Jerry rides quiet and is as handsome as can be! His beautiful bay roan color and plentiful mane and tail make him a real head turner. This sweet gelding will trail ride all day long without hesitation to cross logs, water or any other terrain you might encounter. Jerry is sound, sane and free of vices.
