Meet Ike – AKA Ikey Boy
Ike is a purebred good boy, and a seasoned unicorn who's been there, done that, and is ready to share his calm, loving nature with the right family or individual. Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced rider looking for a reliable companion, or in need of a therapy horse, Ike is the one who can do it all. Ike is the kind of horse you can trust with anyone, no matter their experience level. He’s the definition of a “been there, done that” type and has a heart of gold. Ike loves people, especially kids, and thrives when he’s surrounded by his favorite humans. His desire to please makes him a dream to work with. He would excel as a lesson / companion / therapy horse or a reliable trail horse. Ike has been a team roping head horse in his past, seen many miles of trail rides, done gaming / barrel racing and has been used for lessons for young kids.
His Quirks:
- Licker (he’s an affectionate one!)
- Gets the zoomies when put out to pasture
- Loves to play with water - splashing around in the river is his favorite!
- Food motivated - he’ll do almost anything for a cookie!
The Good:
- Will stand tied as long as you need him to (he’s in no rush)
- Loads into the trailer (just doesn't like backing out)
- Great for the farrier
- Loves baths (a clean boy is a happy boy, thought it doesn't last long)
- Not spooky (he is desensitized to chaos)

The Bad:
- Ike has Cushing's disease and requires a low-sugar diet and a daily half pill (no grass allowed)
- Needs shoes for comfort (currently wearing aluminum wedged PLR's in the front & barefoot in the back)
- Ike is currently out of shape and will require some tune-ups to get him back to full health
Ike is looking for a special home where he’ll receive the care and attention he deserves. I will be selective about rehoming him and will require a buy-back contract to ensure his safety and well-being.
