Oakley is the sweetest, attention-loving horse I've ever started. Don't let the "chestnut mare" look deter you, she's registered red roan! Not mareish, very chill and laid back. She runs up to you in the field and loves all the attention you can give her. She was started slowly and correctly with a complete groundwork curriculum, a solid walk, jog, lope, poles, ponying and trail rides. She is more woah than go, but keeps herself going without kicking the whole time, and has very smooth, comfortable gaits. This is the horse I put newbies on for lessons and field trips. My boyfriend who doesn't ride, safely walked her around in the snow in 6 degree weather for a photo shoot. She is just an honest horse. Clips, loads, ties, bathes, etc. Lives out 24/7 but happily sits in a stall as well. Has been out on trail rides, through water/rivers, over logs, bareback rides in and out of the arena, hunter shows, and foxhunting 3rd and 2nd flight with junior, amateur, and first-time riders/foxhunters. Started over small fences, and recently went to her first 18" over fences show and exceeded expectations Located in Staunton, VA 12/21/24 Standing for Hounds/First flight to pass - https://youtu.be/I0BmNNYqSMU?feature=shared 2/24/25 Intermediate Lesson trotting Poles - https://youtu.be/xgarOcFges4?feature=shared 2/24/25 Intermediate Lesson Cantering Poles - https://youtu.be/ppGE-y0aACQ?feature=shared 07/12/25 Hunter Show Flat with Junior https://youtu.be/JSa3JhVXeMM 07/18/25 Jump School with Amateur home https://youtu.be/gAdIu3kIoN4 07/24/25 First show over fences for both horse and ammy rider https://youtu.be/rg3yRzEgyM0
