Proudly offered for sale PSG/i1 schoolmaster, Rosalind “Rosie” a 10 year old, 14.3 hh Arab cross mare. Rosie has only had one owner since she was 2.5 years old. She has been my best friend for the past 8 years. Rosie has trailered all over California, been a demo horse at Western States Horse Expo for Amelia Newcomb, and a demo horse in a CDS Chapter Symposium with FEI 5* Judge Janet Foy. She travels like a pro and gets out of the trailer in new places ready to get on and ride. She did a progressive trail ride through Woodside, Ca in Woodside Day of the Horse bareback as a 3.5 year old. She has seen reining, carriage driving, jumping, tennis, motorcycles, goats, cows, bikes, strollers, live music, and farm animals. She opens gates, goes over bridges, through water, past off leash barking dogs, has ridden past fire trucks and a fire station, crosses roads with cars, nothing phases Rosie. Rosie loves attention and is always up for a good time. She loves to work and is fabulous on the trail bareback in her halter. She goes on the trail alone or in a group; she’s happy to lead, be in the middle, or be at the back. Rosie knows her job well and is ready to teach someone. Rosie has been shown in dressage Training Level through the Intermediare 1 with qualifying scores. She has placed above warmbloods even in the Open division because she is honest, works hard, and always tries her best. Rosie is easy and the exact same horse at home or at shows. At shows she settles in well stabling or does day haul in, is quiet at show grounds, and is easy in the warm up and in the show arena. Rosie is uncomplicated to ride and has very easy flying changes and lateral work. Rosie is fun to have around the barn and has excellent manners. She is wonderful for the vet and farrier, clips, bathes, ties anywhere, stands quietly, and has no vices. She always greets you with a nicker or a whinny when she sees you coming and knows her name very well if you call her from across the property she will happily answer. Rosie is Lifetime Registered with USEF and USDF. She is UTD on vaccines, deworming, and dental care and has clean radiographs including back X-rays on file. Rosie comes with her blankets, snaffle and double bridle, fly mask, girth, and her boots. While preparing to debut at the Grand Prix last year Rosie was diagnosed with bruising in her fetlock bones on MRI and a recommendation was made that she work at the i1/PSG or below. Rosie had stifle surgery as a 4 year old and at the FEI level she requires some stifle maintenance. I love this mare so much and want a top home for her. Located in Nevada City, California.
