Over 9 months professional training on this mare. Her last trainer was 4 months with NHRA reining champ Martin Padilla of Padilla Performance Horses in Wilton. Liberty is an 8 year old quarter horse cross (likely draft in some percentage). Big boned, 1250+ and around 15.3 (maybe 16H now). No buck or rear. No bite or kick. Not marish. Not a bully. Bathes well. Stands for shoer. Trailers perfectly, nice overall ground manners. Spent her 1st year under saddle working for a cattle rangler herding/ doctoring / feed lot shuffling cattle. I have been using her on a local drill team for 2 years as my backup horse (not quite ready for competition). She will carry a flag. Ride in formation. Behaves well with other horses in tight formations at speed. Would do fine in rodeo situations. She is very used to loud noises / speakers / music / new facilities and arenas etc. Stalls anywhere. Travels great and will eat drink anywhere. Neck reins. Moves off leg. Side passes and backs well. Nice whoa. Moves out. Forward but not hyper or jiggy. Fine on trail or in arena. Stands quietly. Developing gates and collection but easy ride for intermediate or advanced beginner. Not overly spooky but will eyeball or sidestep at times. Does not bolt or spin in fear. She can have some minor hand shyness with new objects in hand. Very cookie motivated! Good girl overall. Great for cowboy or even cowboy dressage! Overall outstanding mare. 100% sound. Currently shod in front. Big feet. Nice conformation. Color tested 1 grey gene and 1 blue roan gene so not sure how much lighter she will get. Video is from Padillas in December of 2023. Her foal date is actually 2017 and not 2016. I do have lots of other video and pictures available.
