Rosie is a 13.2 Welsh Pony/Quarter Horse cross who would love to become a little one's best friend or become a gentle teacher as an addition to a lesson program. She's 14 years old with miles and miles left to go. Rosie is cuddly, safe and the pony that every parent wants for their child — teaching littles as young as 2 years old on the leadline to powering around advanced students over 2'3" jumps. Rosie has just enough sass to teach students how to use their outside leg when passing the arena gate but is safe enough to have small children or dogs accidentally dart below her belly without taking a wrong step. Before working as a lesson pony on Maui, Rosie worked as a therapy pony in a veterans program in Oregon. She's also a pony owned and trained by Broken Horsemanship's Lizzie Immarino, a colt starter and trainer that we're sadly losing to Las Vegas. Rosie was purchased in 2023 in Oregon for Lizzie's lesson program in Lahaina; her move to Vegas is the only reason why Rosie is available for a new home. Rosie is lovely to handle and an easy keeper. She's currently shod as she was jumping consistently but could go barefoot. Ties, trailers, shows off property like a dream. She is, however, a very food motivated pony and needs a home with sturdy fencing or meticulously maintained electric fencing to prevent unintended adventures.
