https://ellarice329.wixsite.com/evrhorses/sold-horses-1 RU Truly Dun, "Tuff" is a five year old AQHA gelding. Tuff stands about 15.1HH tall and is powerful and built to last. He is a strong horse, a beautiful mover and is gorgeous. He will stand out whether in the competition pen, branding ring or out on the trail. Tuff has had thirty days of riding at the time of this listing and I will continue to ride him until he has sold. Tuff was started under saddle late due to no fault of his own, his owners bought him as a weanling and time got away from them. Tuff has a bunch of experience under his belt already. He has gathered and sorted cattle at a branding. I have ridden him in the mountains of Montana shed hunting, meaning we rode completely off trail and bush whacked through steep, rough terrain and through thick cover and sage brush. He has handled crossing streams and mud, and I have sent him up and down steep terrain. He knows how to step mindfully around slick or sharp rocks. I have also ridden him here in Wisconsin at the Big Eau Plain, one day recently we trotted a nine mile loop. He's had plenty of long hauls in the trailer and has saddled up and walked off when asked. This horse will W/T/L under saddle, stop, back, move the hindquarters and forequarters, and side pass. He is soft and was started in a halter, and now rides in a snaffle. He has the basics of lateral flexion and collection, and is learning more each day. He is a big mover, with a beautiful extended trot and big, reaching lope. Tuff trailers and stands for the farrier. He has spent plenty of time tied at the trailer and the hitching post. He is up to date on vaccines, coggins and hoof work. Tuff has a energetic personality and puts effort into what is asked of him. He is a high caliber and therefore higher energy horse that has handled everything I've thrown at him during the time he's been with me. Tuff has the pedigree to be taken anywhere- he is bred and moves like an athlete. He has a mind which likes to work and he is ready for a job. With only 30 days under saddle, he has had many experiences and a good start to life as a working horse. He is ready to continue riding and training your way, and I believe he will excel at anything you throw at him. With more time under saddle, I believe he will make a great partner. Put him on the barrel pattern, take him out west and ride him in the mountains, turn him into a show horse or start him in reining or cowhorse work. Enjoy him! He is a fun horse to ride. Tuff's owners have had him since he was a weanling. They no longer have the time to keep him, and sent him to me for a start under saddle and consignment. Located in Wausau WI.
