Eochaid Corwynt Bach (Storm) is a flashy Chestnut Welsh Pony of Cob Type with lots of chrome. His registered name is Welsh for "Tiny Tornado" because he hasn't stopped running circles around his mom from when he could first stand up. This pony is full of energy and loves to explore. Storm is bold and brave and will make an amazing athlete when he is older- I see CDE, eventing, foxhunting, you name it and he'll do it. Storm's first reponse to anything new or unnerving is to march right up to it and figure out what dared to try to bother him.
Storm comes from strong imported Section C lines going back many generations. His sire is Lascaux Ginkgo (*Popsters Mr Moffat X *Glendower Honeysuckle), who is a dressage and driving champion as well as a sire of award winners. His dam Lascaux Marilyn Monroe (*Popsters Mr BoJangles X *Brynemellion Louise) won many halter and In Hand championships as a young mare and has regional and national awards including Reserve Champion Ridden Welsh Classic during her brief ridden show career. She is also the sweetest mare and loves raising her babies as well as being a leadline pony for little kids.
At his first Welsh show, Storm was double first place Section C colt and Overall Section C Reserve Champion.
Storm's full sister, Eochaid Cyhydnos Y Gwanwyn, was 2024 Welsh Section C Filly National Champion. His half brother, Eochaid Tir Tairngire, was 2023 and 2024 Welsh Section C 2 & Under Gelding National Champion as well as 2024 NW Regional In Hand Trail 3 & Under Champion. Storm's half sister, Brooksfield Cotton Candy, was 2024 Welsh Section C Mare National Champion and is going well as a riding and driving pony.
